Edgar Solorzano is a professional bassist and synthesizer artist based in South Florida, with over 20 years of experience in live performance and studio recording. Known for his versatility, deep pocket, and high-energy stage presence, he seamlessly moves across genres including Latin pop, funk, rock, R&B, and electronic music.

Edgar began his career in Venezuela with the band VIA, performing up to six nights a week and developing the groove-driven style that defines his playing today. He later joined Nauta—formed by former members of Latin Grammy-winning group Voz Veis—touring nationally and internationally while contributing to their album Al Natural. Along the way, he also collaborated with Venezuelan favorites Mermelada Bunch.

Since relocating to the United States, Edgar has built a dynamic and diverse career. He is a full-time member of South Florida Heatwave, one of the region’s premier corporate and event bands, and regularly performs with groups such as VAM Band, The Negotiators, and Streetlight. He is also an active bassist for original artists including Ledoux, Broadway performer Ana Villafañe, the James Malcolm Band, Ry Rivers and Manuel Diquez.

During the pandemic, he launched his own project, Miami Mambo System, producing the album One from his home studio.

Beyond the stage, Edgar has developed a strong digital presence, sharing bass-driven content, live performances, and gear-focused videos across platforms. His growing international audience frequently engages with his sound, technique, and gear choices—especially his signature slap style and tone.

He is currently supported by brands including Spector Basses, Phil Jones Bass, LK Straps, and Barefoot Buttons.

Whether performing live, recording in the studio, or creating content online, Edgar brings precision, creativity, and a distinctive musical voice that continues to connect with audiences worldwide.
