Edgar Solorzano hails from Maracaibo, Venezuela, and is a Bass Player with a unique style, persona, and matchless passion for music. Born on 14 December 1984, he lives in Miami, Florida, and began playing bass at age 12. From pairing up with school buddies in a local rock band to touring with some of the best bands in Venezuela like Nauta and Mermelada Bunch, he spent over 20 years perfecting his style and acquiring mastery over different music genres like rock, pop, funk, and Latin music.
Edgar started a career as a full-time musician at age 17 and plays bass with the same passion and energy as day one. He teams up with bands to perform in clubs, tour the country, and record bass tracks for their album.
Edgar’s ability to pair up with bands from different genres and backgrounds stems from his degree in music and natural talent for learning songs fast. He plays to invoke emotions and brings his own style to the band while always respecting their unique identity.
Over the years, Edgar has bagged multiple music awards in Venezuela, including Galadron Mara International 2015 Award for Best Musician and La Estrella de Venezuela 2014 ‘Musico Revelacion’ award. Presently, he plays bass with the band ‘Miami Mambo System,’ the group has just released their first album, ‘one.’
